Buttered Cookie Sheets

Most cookies don’t require the cookie sheet to be greased or buttered, but there are a few exceptions, such as baking oatmeal cookies. I don’t use the non-stick spray because it is full of nasty chemicals. Using oil is just messy and it tends to burn wherever there isn’t any food cooking on it.

When I decided to make an extra batch of these cookies the other night to give to family and friends, I had to get another stick of bitter out and that’s when it dawned on me. Why not spread the butter where the cookies are going to go?

It’s simple, just unwrap one end of the butter and rub it on the cookie sheet. Not only does this solve the messy, burnt problem, but it gives the cookies a buttery crunch on the bottom. This really pleases me!
