Faux Garlic Bread

My son is allergic to garlic and garlic bread used to be one of our favorite things to eat. He was heart broken the first time I made spaghetti and didn’t include the garlic bread. Making spaghetti sauce without garlic or onion wasn’t too difficult, but I thought it would be impossible to make garlic bread. Then, I just decided to get in the kitchen and figure it out. And that’s what I did!

Faux Garlic Bread 

Loaf of bread, of your choice

1/2 cup butter (1 stick), softened

1-1/4 tsp parsley

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp oregano

1/8 tsp crushed rosemary

1/8 tsp basil

Let butter stand at room temperature until softened.

In small bowl, use fork to mash and mix all ingredients until well incorporated.

Spread on sliced bread of your choice.

Broil at 450 for about 2 minutes.

Watch carefully, as all ovens are different and times may vary.
