Spazagna

What do you do when you are hungry for lasagna, but don’t have the time to make it, and quite frankly, even if you did, you probably wouldn’t because that is just one thing you despise doing? You invent ‘Spazagna’ of course!

I love lasagna, but hate making it so I came up with the perfect solution. This is the quick, easy, and affordable way to make lasagna.

Spazagna

1 pound ground chuck

29 oz tomato puree

16 oz noodles

cottage cheese

parmesan cheese

1 TBSP parsley flakes

2 tsp sugar

2 tsp oregano

1-1/2 tsp basil

2 tsp mineral salt

In medium pot, brown ground chuck, then drain most of the grease.

Add tomato puree, parsley, sugar, oregano, basil, and salt.

Let simmer on low while you bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the noodles according to package directions. Drain when tender.

Pour sauce over noodles. Mix in cottage cheese.

Top with mozzarella and parmesan cheeses.

You can also layer it if you want to make a pretty presentation to impress someone, but I keep it easy by throwing it all in one pot (using half the mozzarella cheese to mix in and then the other half to top it) after cooking and mixing it up. This is delicious with the Faux Garlic Bread I came up with.
