The fun thing about cooking is, it doesn’t always have to be exact. You can get in the kitchen and throw some ingredients together and have fun experimenting. My boys and I were getting hungry, it was after 2 in the morning and since I’ve neglected to go grocery shopping lately, we were at the mercy of whatever we could find in the kitchen.
A quick peek in the pantry is all it took to decide on this sweet treat. I decided what to add as I went along. With the basic understanding that flour mixed with sugar makes something sweet and I needed to add some baking powder to get it to rise a little, I began adding ingredients and eventually came out with this. My boys were eating them almost as fast as I could scoop them out of the pan. These amazing mini sweet fry breads are crispy on the outside and moist in the middle and have just a hint of vanilla with the perfect amount of cinnamon in them.
